Bumper stickers are fascinating items. Some share encouraging messages, while others convey negative sentiments. Some express hope and some reflect despair. Some display the schools we attend, while others represent places we have been.
I recently drove behind a car with a bumper sticker cursing someone well-known.
I thought, "You don’t know who is behind you. What are you trying to convey? Do I need to know your feelings about that person?"
What does this message say about you? We often reveal our character through the language we use.
By demeaning others, we often demean ourselves. The way we define others can also shape our own identity.
The next time you consider putting a bumper sticker on your car, ask yourself, "Who am I?"
